1. Introduction
At CEROVAN, customer satisfaction is important to us. We aim to provide quality menswear, reliable customer service and a straightforward shopping experience.
This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights and the procedures for cancellations, returns, refunds, exchanges, damaged goods and incorrect orders.
This policy is intended to comply with applicable United Kingdom consumer protection legislation, including:
-
Consumer Rights Act 2015
-
Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
-
Applicable consumer protection legislation and regulations
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or otherwise affects your statutory consumer rights.
2. Your Right to Cancel Within 14 Days
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers purchasing eligible goods online generally have the legal right to cancel their order without giving a reason.
You have 14 days from the day after receiving your goods to notify us that you wish to cancel your purchase.
If your order contains several items delivered separately, the cancellation period generally runs from the day after you receive the final item.
To exercise your right to cancel, please email:
Include your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel your purchase.
You do not need to provide a reason for cancelling, although we welcome feedback that may help improve our service.
After informing us of your decision to cancel, you must send the applicable goods back within 14 days.
Your statutory cancellation rights apply independently of any additional returns arrangements offered by CEROVAN.
3. Return Eligibility and Product Condition
For returns under the statutory cooling-off period, customers may inspect and try on clothing as they would reasonably be permitted to do in a physical retail shop.
You may examine the size, appearance, fit and characteristics of an item.
However, handling that goes beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods may result in a lawful deduction from the refund to reflect any reduction in their value.
We recommend returning items:
-
Clean and in good condition.
-
With original labels and tags, where possible.
-
With their original packaging, where reasonably available.
-
With all accessories originally supplied.
Original packaging and attached tags are not absolute requirements for exercising statutory cancellation rights.
Items that have been worn extensively, washed, altered or damaged through unnecessary handling may be subject to a deduction where legally permitted.
These conditions do not restrict your legal rights concerning faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.
4. How to Request a Return
To request a return, please follow these steps.
Step 1 — Contact Customer Support
Send an email to:
Include your order number, the items you wish to return and whether you are exercising your right to cancel or reporting a problem with the goods.
Step 2 — Receive Return Instructions
Our customer service team will provide the applicable return instructions and return address.
Step 3 — Prepare Your Parcel
Pack the item securely to reduce the risk of damage during transit.
We recommend using a delivery method that provides proof of postage or tracking.
Step 4 — Send the Return
For a statutory cancellation, dispatch the goods within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.
Step 5 — Refund Processing
Once the returned goods have been received, or sufficient evidence of their return has been provided, your refund will be processed within the applicable statutory timeframe.
Contacting customer support is intended to facilitate the return process and does not require you to obtain our permission before exercising your statutory rights.
5. Return Shipping Costs
Returns Due to a Change of Mind
For eligible returns made under the statutory 14-day cancellation period, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods, provided that this obligation was disclosed before the contract was concluded.
CEROVAN will not impose additional cancellation or restocking fees.
The direct return shipping cost will depend on the parcel and the return destination.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Where an item is faulty, not as described or does not conform to the contract, CEROVAN will bear any reasonable and necessary return postage costs as required by applicable law.
Customers will not be required to pay unavoidable return costs when exercising their statutory rights to a remedy for non-conforming goods.
Please contact hello@CEROVAN.store for assistance.
6. Refund Processing and Timeframes
Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, CEROVAN will refund eligible payments without undue delay.
For returned goods, the refund will be issued no later than 14 days after:
-
The day we receive the returned goods; or
-
The day you provide evidence that the goods have been sent back, if earlier.
Where goods have not yet been dispatched, or where we have offered to collect them, the applicable statutory refund timeframe will be observed.
Refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.
We will not charge administrative or refund processing fees.
The time taken for funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
7. Original Delivery Charges
When an eligible order is cancelled in full under the statutory cancellation rules, CEROVAN will refund the original delivery charge up to the cost of our least expensive generally available standard delivery method.
If you selected an enhanced or express delivery service costing more than standard delivery, the additional premium delivery charge does not have to be refunded.
Where standard delivery was free, there is no original standard delivery charge to reimburse.
Partial returns and other circumstances will be assessed in accordance with applicable consumer law.
8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be:
-
Of satisfactory quality.
-
Fit for their intended purpose.
-
As described.
If you receive a product that does not meet these legal requirements, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction, depending on the circumstances.
Please contact us at:
Include your order number, an explanation of the problem and, if available, photographs showing the issue.
Photographs can help us resolve the matter efficiently but are not an absolute condition of your statutory rights.
Short-Term Right to Reject
In qualifying circumstances, consumers have a statutory short-term right to reject non-conforming goods within 30 days, calculated according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where this right applies, you may be entitled to a full refund.
Rights After 30 Days
If a fault becomes apparent after the initial short-term rejection period, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement.
If an appropriate repair or replacement is unavailable, unsuccessful, cannot be provided within a reasonable time, or causes significant inconvenience, you may be entitled to a price reduction or to reject the goods, as provided by law.
During the first six months after delivery, relevant statutory rules generally presume that a fault existed at delivery unless the trader establishes otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the circumstances.
Legal claims may remain possible beyond six months, subject to applicable limitation periods and the nature of the issue.
Nothing in this section limits any additional rights available under consumer law.
9. Incorrect Items or Missing Products
If you receive the wrong item, an incorrect size or colour compared with your order, or an incomplete delivery, please contact us.
Email: hello@CEROVAN.store
Include your order number and details of the problem.
Where CEROVAN has failed to supply the goods as agreed, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law, without imposing unjustified additional charges.
10. Exchanges
Customers who would prefer a different size, colour or style may contact our support team to enquire about an exchange.
Exchanges outside statutory remedies are subject to stock availability and any additional exchange arrangements offered by CEROVAN.
If a requested replacement is unavailable, we will explain the available options.
Requests for voluntary exchanges do not reduce or replace statutory rights to cancellation, refunds, repairs or replacements.
Where an exchange is required as a legal remedy for faulty or non-conforming goods, the applicable statutory provisions take precedence.
11. Non-Returnable Items and Legal Exceptions
Certain products may be excluded from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right where an applicable legal exception exists.
Examples include:
-
Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.
-
Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery.
-
Other goods expressly excluded from the statutory cancellation right by applicable legislation.
Any exception will be applied only where the relevant legal conditions are satisfied.
An item is not automatically excluded simply because it was purchased during a sale or promotion.
These exceptions do not remove statutory remedies where goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
12. Sale and Promotional Items
Products purchased at discounted prices or during promotional campaigns remain protected by the same statutory consumer rights as full-price purchases.
Eligible sale items may be returned under the statutory cancellation provisions.
Faulty, damaged or misdescribed promotional items remain subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Promotional conditions cannot override mandatory consumer protection rights.
13. Orders Cancelled Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible.
Email: hello@CEROVAN.store
If the order has already been dispatched, you may still exercise your applicable statutory cancellation rights.
We will process eligible cancellations and refunds in accordance with legal requirements.
14. Parcels Lost or Damaged During Delivery
CEROVAN is responsible for ensuring that goods are delivered in accordance with the contract.
Where we arrange the delivery, the risk of loss or damage generally remains with CEROVAN until the goods come into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer to receive them.
If a parcel is missing, damaged during delivery or has not arrived as agreed, please contact:
We will investigate the issue and provide the remedy required by applicable consumer law.
Different risk rules may apply where the customer independently arranges a carrier not offered by CEROVAN.
15. Refunds for Orders That Do Not Arrive
If your order has not arrived within the agreed delivery period, please contact customer support.
We will investigate the shipment and seek to resolve the issue promptly.
Where goods are not delivered as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers may have the right to terminate the contract and receive a refund.
In certain circumstances, the customer may need to allow an appropriate additional delivery period before terminating the contract.
Where delivery by a specified date was essential and the relevant statutory conditions are met, an additional delivery period may not be required.
16. Statutory Rights and Consumer Protection
Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies provided by UK law.
In particular, consumers retain their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
These rights apply regardless of any voluntary commercial return policy, promotional offer or manufacturer's guarantee.
If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection law, the applicable statutory requirement will prevail.
17. Changes to This Policy
CEROVAN may update this Return & Refund Policy to reflect operational improvements, legislative changes or changes to our services.
The latest version will be published on our website.
Any changes will be applied consistently with applicable law and will not retrospectively remove rights that consumers have already acquired.
